Music is a core human experience and a fundamental part of human evolution.
Music before language
We probably sang before we even spoke a sentence. Music helps to lighten our mood, reduce anxiety, build task endurance, improve our response to pain etc..
Our relationship with music has its strong roots even back in prehistoric cavemen days. Music seem to be his companion even when the first man steps out of his cave, to begin his adventurous journey to explore the world around him. Curiosity and intuitiveness fueled each other in every step of the way to reach where we are today.
With our research on human curiosity and advancement in artificial intelligence, we set out to create a more pure and deeper experience of music for a modern man.
Giving a modern man, the same fresh experience of a curious caveman, in a modern context through music

The discovery of fire helped them protect themselves from the predators and gave them extra hours after sun down. This environment created a safe incubation to spend the extra hours on the involving in activities that are more than just for their survival, like cave painting, music , building community, comprehend their daytime activities ,documenting them as paintings on walls.

Design for curiosity.
Caveman audio system is a cluster of speakers with nontraditional product interactions. This product is designed to make users more curious than being more intuitive, by exploring and experimenting the principles of curiosity like ambiguity, uncertainty, complexity, conflict and information gaps.

Product interactions.
Turn ON
The interaction of striking stones to start fire is translated into an action if tapping the main speaker and portable speaker together twice to start the music on both the speakers.
The vibration sensors with the help if the Machine learning algorithm in each speaker recognizes this interaction pattern. Now both the speakers are synced together, the song played in one speaker will be mimicked to other. Similar LED glow on the speakers visually indicate that the speakers are synced together.

Sharing Music
The fire from the lit torch is transferred to the other by a simple interaction of bringing the unlit torch close to the lit one and waiting for it to get ignited.
When a switched-off speaker comes in contact with a speaker which is switched on, it gets switched on and starts to play. The song information (song name, duration of the music, Colour of light in speaker ) of the playing speaker is shared with the other speaker.

Volume control
Sliding up and down over the spin of the speaker, to increase and decrease the volume.
The precisely placed IR sensor under the surface, controls the volume and it also restricts the interaction to be done only human touch, avoiding unintentional product behavior.

Pause, Mute and Play
When the user covers the entire spin of the speaker, by bringing their hands close to it and holding it there, the speaker lowers its volume and pauses.
When the user lifts their hand back, it again increases its volume back and starts playing again.

Turn OFF
The speaker is switched off by shaking it to and fro, three times. The speakers can either be switched individually or as a group.
The Machine Learning algorithm analyzes the pattern from the accelerometer and makes a decision to execute the corresponding product functions.
